NOTE: Spring/Summer 2009 -We are in DIRE need of foster homes will you help?

Times are tough and Mastiffs are turning up in shelters in droves.

We know we can't 'help them all'. But will you help us to save the ones we can? Donating to us is essential to keep SSMR going. So is volunteering to help either by fostering, doing transport, evaluation and home visits.

If you have ever thought about offering a safe refuge to a special Mastiff...now is the time to help so we don't have to turn any Mastiffs away. SSMR has been grateful that we have never had to turn away a Mastiff before because we could not accommodate them -and we do not want to be in that position but it is on the horizon quickly if new volunteers do not come forward in Florida and in other states. Please volunteer to foster a Mastiff or in ANY of the Southern States region TODAY.

None. A very laid-back sweet girl who wants to be with you.

My name is Annie and I am a pretty Brindle Girl located in FL. I am around 5 years old.

I'm a very laid-back couch potato type of Mastiff who is just 'easy'. I am very gentle when taking treats too.

My elderly owner died...and I was left all alone. I miss having someone to love as my very own and am READY to move right in and take over as your new best friend and constant companion. I am a little shy at first, but warm up once I know I am safe.

I have a touch of arthritis, so my new family will need to keep me on Glucosamine so I can stay limber and agile. (  : I haven't had the best of care in my past and due to longstanding ear infections which went untreated, my foster mom thinks I may be slightly hearing impaired at this time. Perhaps this might improve with time.
I get along well with the 4 other dogs at my foster home, am not food aggressive, I do very  well with the house cats in my foster home and I love to meet strangers!

Annie would do very well with mature persons. She sleeps at your bedside and has no destructive issues.

She likes to be in the room with humans as much as possible. Annie is definitely is a house dog, but walks well on lead. Rides well in car. Due to having a little arthritis it would be best for her to have as few to no stairs to do as possible.

If you have the time and love in your heart to make me a family member for ever please fill out an adoption application at adoption application mentioning me by name and state.

For more information about me please contact Kelly at freadcat@hotmail.com
