Elle is a very sweet girl! She had a rough start in
life and is now learning to accept her new foster
family. She is a bit fearful of men and seems to
connect much better with females. Her foster Dad is
working on gaining her acceptance and she is doing
excellent.
Elle does great with other animals big and small.
She gets along great with her foster brother and
sister dogs. She is currently living with 2 lab
mixes and a Lhasa Apso.
She shows little interest in
cats. At first she chased the foster home's inside
cat a bit, but is always very gentle. She wants
nothing to do with their outside cat which is a
little feisty.
Elle should not be placed in a family with young
children. Small children are just too overwhelming
for her. Children over the age of 12 might be
considered as long as they respect Elle's space.
If you take things very slowly with her she can be
your best friend.
Elle is extremely loving and
enjoys being right by your side. She loves giving
you her paw in trade of a good pat on the head or a
nice belly rub. This lovely girl is crate trained &
potty trained, although she doesn't like going out
in the rain.
Her foster mom says she finds it
easier to put her on a leash when raining or wet
outside and she does her business right away. She
enjoys long walks and is great on a leash. Elle
knows how to sit, lay down, & shake. She loves her
toys and food of course! She was quite thin when
she arrived and has now gained 12 pounds and looks
amazingly well. She is really turning into a
beautiful and wonderful companion.
