This is  a beautiful young male who was recently rescued by a kind SSMR volunteer.

"Gus" estimated to be less than 2 years old was picked up as a stray in GA.  His owner tried to reclaim him but did not have the money to pay his "bail".
Though he is growing and filling out he will probably never be a large mastiff -but he definitely has that greatly valued mastiff temperament!
He loves all dogs, big and small, pays no attention to cats. 

Gus's Foster mom has a 13 year old son and Gus just loves him. He's great with all people and even with strangers.

He really loves to give kisses, is perfectly housetrained, walks well on leash most of the time and is pretty much the ideal Mastiff. 

Gus already understands NO and LEAVE IT  but will just need work on basic manners and commands like sit, stay, down, etc. and to stay off kitchen counters.
