Hi, I am Sadie, a 4 yo fawn spayed
Mastiff. I am such a fun loving girl.....
check out my pics ....
I love all people, both young &
oId. I love to swim. I need to find a new home because
my owner is traveling more & more & I miss her
terribly.
Because I have been missing her so
much, I have started to not get along with the other
dogs in my house. They say I am kind of selfish when
it comes to the other dogs.
I really do not like to share my
toys, treats or food. I have never been around cats,
so I am not sure of them. Below is lots more
information about me from my foster mom! I hope this
finds my PERFECT match for my forever family!
"Sadie is very loving and affectionate towards all
people. She enjoys playing fetch, especially in a
pool, laying outside in the sun, walking on a leash,
car rides, swimming, and just being a member of the
family. She’s the first (and only one) in the pool
when it gets cooler after a good rain. She does not
go on furniture but would take you up on the
invitation. She doesn’t chew or destroy things but
will scratch a door. Her favorite saying is “Are you
hungry?” Sadie’s always ready to keep you company
in the kitchen and loves snacks of all kinds. She
is not a beggar. She eats fruits and vegetables
regularly. Ice is a great treat, as is air-popped
popcorn, which she will happily share with you.
Sadie has a tendency to put on weight, so it’s
important to monitor her food intake and balance
that with her desire to overeat in order to keep her
healthy. She’s a hungry girl! Thank goodness she’s
not a drooler.
Sadie’s fed dry food (Purina
Dog Chow) twice a day (3-4 cups at a time) in the
morning and evening and goes to bed between 8-9pm.
She knows “Go to bed” and will run to her sleeping
area. She doesn’t mind her crate from time to time
but prefers her bed on the floor. Sadie is house
broken and currently runs around in a yard, but she
adores walks on her leash if you do not have the
space. She is very tolerant of people and will let
you put clothes on her. She even swims with a life
vest. She gets very excited when getting a bath and
will let you groom her without any problems. She is
prone to ear problems, but she will let you clean or
apply medication as needed. Sadie has had a hygroma
on her front left elbow for years. It has remained
stable in size and does not cause discomfort.
Attempts have been made to reduce the size,
non-surgically, but they have not been successful.
Vets and experts have suggested to leave it alone.
Sadie seems fine with this decision.
Sadie loves toys and rawhide,
and is quite possessive of them. She willingly lets
you pick up any of her belongings but will not allow
another dog to do so. She has never shown any
aggression towards people, but she definitely has
aggression issues with dogs that do not submit to
her alpha personality. Sadie is a couch potato and
will follow your sleep schedule. She will wait for
you to wake up in the morning to be let out. She
looks forward to breakfast immediately after waking
and will gallop to her food bowl when you ask “Are
you hungry?” She is used to eating on an elevated
platform or chair, and is always fed separately from
other pets, as there is some food-aggression towards
other animals only (never people).
Sadie craves human
companionship. She doesn’t like to be left alone
excessively and needs to be involved in your
family. She will most likely lay down in the same
room and catch up on beauty rest, while you go about
your day. Sadie will alert you if someone is at the
door or near a window. She’ll run to the location
and bark. She welcomes people in once they are
introduced."
