Ursella is a very sweet 4 - 5 brindle girl. She came
to rescue after being seized from a local puppy mill. Because of her poor
breeding, she is a petite girl weighing in only around 110 lbs. She also
has a birth defect on her left rear foot, but it in no way affects her
movement or temperament. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations,
micro-chipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
Ursella would make a great dog for any family. She gets along well with
dogs of all ages, gender, and sizes. She currently lives with 3 other dogs,
2 cats, and 2 children (ages 12 and 10). She pays no attention to the cats
and likes to play with the other dogs in the house. She enjoyed the recent
visit of a 5 month old Lab puppy and played with him all day. During the
holidays, she stayed with a family that had 2 dogs and a 4 month old baby
and she did great. She loved to give the baby kisses whenever he was near.
She wants nothing more than to be near the family or snoozing on a comfy
bed.
She knows some basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, off, and lay. She
walks well on a leash, but could use some more work because she occasionally
likes to pull when in new places. She is completely house trained and will
come to you and whine or bark when she needs to go outside. She is crate
trained, but has not used one in months. Ursella does still like to play,
and loves chew toys. Her favorite thing to do is locate the squeaker in any
toy and remove it.
