Zar is a wonderful dog!!! He was raised with kids and other dogs both large and small.

Below are extensive details about Zar from his foster mom....

"Zar has adjusted very well to the changes in his life. He walks on a leash fine, sits on command and lays down on command.
He sleeps next to me at night on the floor on a large dog bed. I've worked with him on his table manners but he still needs work in that area. He will lay his head on the table if allowed and I caught him with his front feet on the table the other night beginning to lick the cheese cake that was there. He immediately jumped down when he heard me so he knows he shouldn't have been there but the smell was just too much for him.

Zar is very much a Mastiff - he is clumsy, slobbers profusely, trips on his own feet, loves long trots and loves playing with our Boxer!

He has long strides in his trot so I only take him for exercise walks with me on the bike. He trails next to the bike perfectly! He has already started to develop better muscle tone.  I use a prong collar when we walk but it is almost always hanging loosely. Zar just hates water! He will put the tip of his foot in a pull back.  Again, he a big, gentle wussy-boy...a great dog.

He is not dog aggressive, cat aggressive or aggressive in any way except to protect his food from other dogs.

I have stuck my hand in his mouth to take out toys, bones and who knows what. I have put my hand in his bowl while he was eating and he just ate around my hand. He doesn't mind being outside as long as there is shade and cool grass. He doesn't like drinking warm water. He will wait to come into the house to drink...needless to say, always keep drip rags handy around the house!

I would recommend a home without other dogs because of the food guarding behavior."
